Carlo Zoccali, Account Director at Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre has officially taken over as President of the International Live Events Association (ILEA) UK chapter. Zoccali, who has been a member of the Association for four years, picks up the baton from outgoing president, Alistair Turner.

Carlo joined Farnborough International in early 2017 to drive sales for the new Hall 1 exhibition and conference centre which is currently under construction.  When complete it will make the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre the third largest venue in the South East.

Carlo’s key objectives for ILEA UK in 2017/18 is to continue to bring the international chapters closer together, grow membership and engage the next generation of those involved in the live event industry.

Speaking of his presidency Zoccali said: “It has been quite a year joining both Farnborough International and becoming president of ILEA UK. Both organisations support the work of the events business and I’m glad to be part of teams which give something back to our industry.”

Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre Venue Director, Michael Watton, who himself is a member of the AEV Council said: “Carlo’s passion for the events industry is clear for us all to see at Farnborough. He’s giving back his time and energy in the future of the events industry through ILEA UK and we’re delighted that he is recognised by his peers in this way.”
