We are thrilled that our Venue Director, Carlo Zoccali, has been appointed to the board of The Association of Event Venues (AEV).
AEV is a leading trade body representing venues of all size and type both in the UK and internationally. The AEV offers venues the opportunity to connect with peers, learn, benchmark and share best practice for the benefit of their business and the wider meetings and events industry.
Carlo joins Max Bull, Executive Director of Venue Sales at Business Design Centre, AEV Chair; Shaun Hinds, Chief Executive of Manchester, AEV Vice Chair; Jeremy Rees, CEO of ExCeL London, AEV Treasurer; Jackie Boughton, Head of Business Events at The Barbican; Andy Gibb, Group Sales and Marketing Director at Stadium MK; Alison Griffin, Director of Telford International Centre; Paula Lorimer, Director of Harrogate Convention Centre; Paul Michael, Commercial Director of Coventry Building Society Arena; Kerry Mulloy, Director of Events and Operations of ACC Liverpool; Nigel Nathan, Group MD of Olympia London; Ian Taylor, MD of NEC Group Conventions & Exhibitions; Steve Sayer, VP and GM of The O2 at AEG Europe; and Nick Waight, managing director of P&J Live and Dan Thurlow, Director of Exhibition Sales of Scottish Event Campus on the board.
Speaking of his appointment, Carlo said: “Farnborough International has been committed members of the AEV for several years, and have reaped the benefits of being part of the association in its commitment to delivering to a high standard.
