“The rise of festivalisation has been a major trend this year. Through this approach we’re seeing more immersive experiences with content being delivered in different ways; greater focus on an entertainment aspect, and better understanding of how to harness social media effectively, particularly Instagram.”
“Food-wise, the demands of the industry are changing. We know that food plays an important role in the visitor experience, and catering is an area where the festival style works well. A more relaxed approach, such as street food, ensures delegates get to see a unique catering concept which contributes to their overall experience of a show.”

Gareth Rogers, CEO of Farnborough International says: “Farnborough International is an unusual business in that we wear two caps; we have years of experience in organising major events and we run a large and busy venue.
“Through this, we have been able to grow an aspect of our business that enables us to partner with organisers to host and deliver events, all of which make a valuable contribution to the health of the industry.”
“Farnborough is synonymous with aerospace but we’re actively working to partner with other sectors and are delighted to be doing more with automotive in 2020.
“It’s is very interesting to see international clients capitalising on the weak pound. We’re seeing events confirmed now for 2021; regardless of Brexit, Farnborough is a very international brand and the UK is still a strategically important European destination, particularly for American organisers.”
