Getting to Farnborough

How do I get to Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre? 

Please contact the venue or the organiser for specific instructions for travelling to the venue as these may vary depending on the entry gate being used. You can get some information on the travel routes in our Getting Here section.  

Which Gate do I use for entry? 

We have several access gates to the venue depending on the event, please check with gate you should be using to access site prior to your visit. Please note that there is no access for visitors/contractors via Gate D. 

Is there parking at the venue? 

Yes, there is free parking on site at Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre. 

Is there a speed limit on site? 

Yes, there is a 10mph speed limit in place throughout the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre road network. 

Is there disabled parking at the venue? 

Yes, please ensure you display your blue badge once on site and you will be directed to the relevant area. 

Is the venue accessible for wheelchairs?

Yes, our Hall 1 entrance foyers provide wheelchair-friendly access and we have lifts at both to access the First Floor. There are disabled toilets throughout the facility. 

Is there a café/restaurant at the venue? 

There is not a permanent café/restaurant at the venue, though most events will have catering options available during the live hours, please check in advance with a member of the venue or organiser team. 

Do you have electric car charging points on site? 

No, so please come prepared in advance if you are driving an electric car. 

Do you have a cash machine on site? 

No. Although our catering units are equipped to take card payments, we recommend you come to site prepared if you wish to make cash purchases. 

Is there a prayer room?

Your event organiser will be able to advise which room is being utilised as a prayer room.

Do you have WiFi? 

Hall 1 has free café style WiFi which is suitable for browsing the internet and checking emails. This WiFi is not suitable for exhibitors or organisers to rely on for show critical elements. Additional requirements can be discussed with an event manager, or a 1-day WiFi pass can be purchased via the splash page when connecting to the _Farnborough network. 

Do you have a cloakroom at the venue? 

We do not have a dedicated cloakroom at the venue; however, some organisers choose to operate a temporary cloakroom so please check in advance with the organisers of the event you are attending. 

Do you have a Smoking policy?

Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre will allocate dedicated smoking areas for your event as we operate a no smoking policy throughout the venue. E-cigarettes and vaping are included in this. 

Can I leave my car on site overnight? 

We do have free onsite parking, including overnight parking for evening events, however the site opening times vary so please ensure you discuss a suitable time to collect your car with a member of the venue or organising team. 

How do Media register for a Media Pass?

Media will have to submit their media accreditation application through the Farnborough International Airshow website when live. Please note that all accreditation applications are subject to approval.

How do I find a lost item during an event?  

If you lose an item during at event, please speak to a member of Farnborough International staff on site for assistance and provide details of the item and your contact information. 

How do I find a lost item post-event? 

If you have lost an item at an event, please contact the organisers of your event within three months of the event date, provide the following details and we will do our best to get your item back to you.

* Please note that the Organiser reserves the right to alter or cancel the aerobatic flying displays for a variety of reasons including, but not limited to; bad weather conditions and/or unforeseen circumstances.

What catering facilities are available on site?

There will be a selection of food and beverage options throughout the show site as well as The Skyview Restaurant, providing a more formal setting for exhibitors, visitors and their guests.

Can I book a virtual site visit?

Yes, we have the option of a virtual tour of the venue and remote meetings if you do not wish to visit the site in person. However, we are effectively operating safe face-to-face site visits.

What are the current capacities for an event?

We have 9 flexible conference rooms for smaller events and we have the ability to utilise our multipurpose hall to hold larger scale conferences in line with social distancing regulations. Our expert team will advise the best way of accommodating your requirements and find a space fit for purpose.

Will I need to purchase additional safety signage for my event?

Signage is implemented throughout the venue to communicate key safety messaging regarding social distancing and hygiene advice, including digital screens, floor markings and other signage in high-use areas.

What happens if my event gets cancelled?

We offer flexible contracts to give you peace of mind – if your event is cancelled due to Covid-19, your booking will be protected and moved to another suitable date. If you are a visitor, please keep an eye on the event’s website for the latest updates.

How is car parking managed to cater for social distancing?

We have 3,500 fcar parking spaces available on site. Our team will help you plan parking to cater for social distancing.

Will there be thermal screening upon entry to the venue?

Thermal screening technology will be available to organisers. Please speak to a member of our team for further information.

Are there hand sanitisers on site?

Yes, we have multiple automatic touch-free hand sanitiser stations on site for your use throughout the building.

Will there be extra cleaning in the venue?

An enhanced cleaning regime will be implemented with increased frequency with daily deep cleans conducted during events, including effective waste management.

How will queuing for toilets be managed to allow for social distancing?

Signage and barriers will be utilised if required dependent on the event size.

How will use of the toilet facilities be managed during an event?

Clear signage is in place to indicate which toilets, urinals, sinks and hand dryers are in use to cater for social distancing.

How will catering be operated safely during an event?

Our catering will be operating effective distancing measures, one way systems, managed seating areas and a cashless payment service.

How will cloakrooms be managed?

To support a reduction in touch points and cross contamination we will not be operating a cloakroom as a venue.

 

What happens if I require medical assistance? 

We always have trained first aid staff available in the event of an accident or incident. Just ask the nearest member of Farnborough International staff or a member of Security for immediate assistance.  

What's the procedure in the event of a fire emergency? 

In the event of a fire emergency a siren alarm will sound and will be accompanied by a loud speaker announcement stating that fire evacuation is in process and everyone must leave the building. Fire exits are clearly marked and there are adequate fire marshals on site to ensure everyone leaves the building safely and indicates the location of the fire assembly points. Please do not attempt to leave site during an emergency evacuation as this may hinder emergency services gaining access to site. We have 5 refuge points on the first floor equipped with evacuation chairs. There are trained staff to assist those with impaired mobility and ensure they leave the building safely. Never attempt to re-enter the building until the ‘All Clear’ has been given. 

Do I have to wear a mask when visiting Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre?

Please bring a mask and cover your face during your visit to the venue.

What if I forget to bring my mask?

Please inform a member of staff upon arrival, there will be masks available to purchase in the venue.

What do I do if I have an underlying condition and cannot wear a mask?

Please inform a member of staff and we will provide you will a lanyard so you are not asked to wear a mask during your visit.

Will there be thermal screening upon entry to the venue?

Thermal screening technology may be present dependent on the event. 

What is the track and trace process?

All visitors must submit their contact details to their Farnborough International host prior to their visit. Farnborough international will hold information electronically in a secure location for 28 days after the visit when it will then be permanently and securely deleted. Farnborough International will only share this information with NHS track and trace within the 28 day period if necessary to do so.

Are there any restrictions on who can attend an event at the venue?

Please do not come on site if you (or anyone in your household) are feeling unwell and have any of the following symptoms;

  • High Temperature
  • Dry cough
  • Headache
  • General flu like symptoms.
  • Loss of taste or sense of smell.

 Do not come on site if you fall into the ‘at risk’ category or you live with someone in the ‘at risk’ category

What do I do if I feel unwell during an event?

Please report to the nearest member of staff if you have any Covid-19 symptoms. There will be medically trained staff on site if you require any immediate attention.

How is car parking managed to cater for social distancing?

Parking spaces are provided close to the venue, please be mindful of sustaining social distancing when exiting and entering your vehicle if the person parked next to you is doing the same.

Are there hand sanitisers on site?

Yes, we have multiple automatic touch-free hand sanitiser stations on site for your use throughout the building.

Will there be extra cleaning in the venue?

An enhanced cleaning regime will be implemented with increased frequency with daily deep cleans conducted during events, including effective waste management.
