FARNBOROUGH INTERNATIONAL AIRSHOW VISITS ABACE

based in China will be holding meetings at ABACE 2015 regarding potential participation at the
forthcoming Farnborough International Airshow which takes place from 11-17 July 2016.
Already, FIA has seen commitment from Baoji Titanium Industry Co. and AVIC – whom have increased their booking with their largest participation to date at FIA 2016 and representing a cross section of key Chinese companies as well as SME’s. It is expected that further commitments will be made as a result of the meetings at ABACE.
Speaking about the visit, Amanda Stainer, “One of our key objectives for FIA16 is to increase international participation at the show. China is currently an exciting growth market for the aerospace industry within the region and at FIA, we want to create maximum opportunities for all of our exhibitors and visitors. FIA16 will provide the perfect business platforms to meet and connect with Chinese and other foreign businesses; making FIA a central hub for global business.”
Jenny Du further added, “Being based in China and having an aerospace background, I have been able to establish and maintain contacts with aerospace companies in China and inform them of the benefits of participating in at the Farnborough International Airshow.”
Exhibition sales for the event have been extremely positive to date with 75% of space already booked or reserved. Along with the exhibitors that have signed multi-show deals – Airbus, Boeing, GKN, Thales and Martin Baker – recent bookings include Rolls Royce, Caruso and Freeland, United Engine Corp and Kallman Worldwide manage the US Pavilion at the show.
As well as increasing international participation at the show, organisers, FIL are also developing the show content to offer more opportunities from the wider aerospace sectors including MRO, Rotary businesses as well the increasing the successful and popular UAS and Space Zones. “We’re also looking to encourage more supply chain and SME businesses to the show and showcase some of the latest advances in manufacturing technology – with emphasis on additive manufacturing” added Amanda Stainer.
Networking and engagement opportunities are also being enhanced for FIA 2016 with the ever successful military and civil delegations programme being further developed, the Meet the Buyer activities growing from two to three days of meetings and an increased and topical conference programme providing more speaking and briefing opportunities.
