The 14th and 15th July 2012 saw the 48th edition of the Farnborough International Airshow, held at the Farnborough Aerodrome in Hampshire. Few Airshows can boast the spectacular displays and variety that Farnborough provides and this year was no exception. A jam-packed five hour flying display included favourites such as the Lancaster, Spitfire, Vulcan, Typhoon and the Red Arrows to name just a few, the elegance and grace of the Airbus A380 never fails to impress and for the first time the exciting Breitling Jet Team and the Breitling Wingwalkers also took part, enthralling the crowds from start to finish. The public were also treated to a sneak preview of the future of space travel with a full scale replica of Virgin Galactic’s SpaceShip Two on display at the show.
