FIA 2008 was the biggest FIA ever for Thales, occupying the whole pavilion S1, an impressive four-storey building. It was a move that caught everyone’s imagination and the feedback that we received from our customers, partners and press was exceptional.

The Farnborough Air Show provides a global platform for business. It is attended by virtually every key aerospace company, including many of the customers, partner companies, and suppliers with whom we are interested in meeting.
Our participation in Farnborough is an efficient use of time. We can get more accomplished in a few days on site than in several months of extended travel. As our customer base becomes increasingly international, attendance at Farnborough provides us with a key method of showcasing our technologies and advanced capabilities in a worldwide forum.
The organizers are true professionals, accommodating and easy to work with. They make it relatively simple for our exhibit team to do its job, despite time and distance issues.
Farnborough is an important and strategic part of our business plan.

As the first-ever robotics company to exhibit at the Farnborough International Airshow, we were very impressed by the levels of assistance that we received not only in terms of planning and marketing our stand in the run-up to the event, but also by the comprehensive amount of advice and support throughout the show’s duration. It was a seamless operation that contributed to a hugely-successful exhibition for KUKA. Around 3,000 visitors took up our invitation to ride the Robocoaster, the world’s first passenger-carrying robot. We received more than double the number of enquiries we anticipated and the level of interest in our automation solutions for the aerospace industry was extremely high.

Stein Seal have exhibited at each Farnborough since we started our UK company in 2002, in order to enhance our status and to promote our company. As an SME, we can appear in front of the World's aerospace buyers, engineers and customers; all in one week. It is a useful marketing tool as customers speak more freely in the atmosphere of the show. We intend to continue exhibiting at Farnborough in preference to other European shows.

2008 hosted the launch of a re-branded group under the name of Vector Aerospace, encompassing the three operating divisions ACROHELIPRO Global Services, Atlantic Turbines International and Sigma Aerospace. The UK arm of Vector Aerospace decided that Farnborough International Airshow 2008 was the perfect event to unveil the re-branding and the acquisition of two additional companies from the UK's Ministry of Defence: DARA Fleetlands and DARA Almondbank.
FIA2008 is one of the largest showcases in the world and in choosing this show to announce the group changes our objectives were entirely achieved.
