Media Accreditation

Please note, the ‘Fast Track’ advance application process and the Online advance application process for media accreditation for the Farnborough International Airshow 2010 are now closed.

All members of the media, including all technical support must be accredited in order to attend the Farnborough International Airshow (FIA) 2010 free of charge and to gain access to the onsite Media Centre, in association with Boeing, during the show.

There are three methods by which to apply for media accreditation:

1. ‘Fast Track’ Advance Applications (FIA 2008 accredited media only)
NOW CLOSED

All media who were accredited at FIA 2008 are eligible to apply in advance for fast-track accreditation for FIA 2010. To apply, please simply send an email to media@farnborough.com confirming your wish to attend in 2010 with any change in your personal details since June 2008 (as outlined below). If freelance, please also confirm full details of your commission(s) for FIA 2010. We will then confirm and process your application and your media pass will be mailed to you. Please note the following cut-off dates for media pass mail out:

Non-UK Media – Friday 25th June 2010
UK Media – Friday 2nd July 2010

Once these dates have passed, successful applicants will instead be sent a confirmation code via email which they will be required to present at the gate upon arrival at the show in order to collect their media pass.

Fast track applications will be received until Friday 9th July 2010 or until the capacity of the Media Centre has been reached.

To apply via the Fast Track system you must confirm the following details:

Personal and Job Details:
First Name
Last Name
Address
Telephone number
Email address
Media Organisation
Job Title
Job Function
Details of commission(s) for FIA 2010 if freelance

Data Protection Options:
Yes/No to being sent emailed information from Farnborough International Ltd (FIL) regarding FIA 2010 and future events.
Yes/No to your details being forwarded to FIA 2010 Exhibiting companies (or their agents) so that they may contact you with their press information around FIA 2010.

2. Online Advance Applications (Media who did not attend FIA 2008)
NOW CLOSED

We recommend media who did not attend FIA 2008, but who wish to attend in 2010, should apply for accreditation in advance by completing the online form which can be accessed below. Advance applications will continue to be received until Friday 9th July 2010 or until the capacity of the Media Centre has been reached.

An individual submission and photograph will be required for each media representative, including camera/production crew. Supporting documentation by means of proof of employment and published work will also be required for each submission.

Please note that media accreditation will only be given to active members of the media attending the show in a news gathering capacity. Please note also that media accreditation will only be given to photographers commissioned by a news gathering agency. All advertising, marketing and sales personnel will require Exhibitor Passes (where applicable) or a Daily Entrance Pass to access FIA 2010.

To apply for media accreditation for FIA 2010 in advance online, you will require the following:

  • Personal details
  • Supporting documentation by means of uploadable or web based proof of employment for the show.
  • Supporting documentation by means of uploadable or web-based proof of work published since July 2008.
  • An active email address to activate your media pass
  • A full colour, digital headshot photograph which should be 300 dpi, no smaller than passport sized with a maximum file size of 2MB.

Successful applicants will be notified via email and their media pass mailed to them.

3. On-the-day Applications

There will be a limited facility for issuing media passes from the onsite Media Centre during the show itself. Please note however that in order to access the show site upon arrival without a media pass, you will be required to purchase a Daily Entrance Pass which is non-refundable, even if a media pass is obtained thereafter.

Any media who have purchased a Daily Entrance Pass who wish to attend subsequent days of the show without charge will be required to visit the Media Centre once onsite to apply for a media pass. There will be no ‘Fast Track’ accreditation on-the-day and the criteria detailed in Section 2 will apply to all. Supporting documentation must be presented in hard-copy at the accreditation desk.

The on-the-day accreditation process may be subject to some delays due to the busy nature of the Media Centre. We would therefore strongly recommend that media who wish to attend the show apply for accreditation in advance.
