What time does the show start and end?
The show opens at 09.30 and ends at 17.30hrs. The gates will be open prior to the show opening times.

What are the ticket prices?
Adult advance purchase: £23
Adult on-day purchase: £28
Children (under 16) go free when accompanied by a paying adult
Grandstand tickets advance price: £11

What is the Grandstand?
The grandstand is a tiered seated area positioned in an ideal location for viewing the flying display. This area is not sheltered. Please note that children under the age of 16 that are admitted into the show free would have to purchase a ticket for the grandstand if required.

How do I book tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online from www.farnborough.com or through a dedicated ticket hotline number: 0870 906 3859

Is there a group discount?
Yes. A discount of 5% is offered on 20 or more tickets that are purchased. Coach parking is free.

Is there a whole weekend ticket?
Currently, it is not possible to purchase a whole weekend ticket that will give you admittance on both Saturday and Sunday.

What is the Enthusiasts’ Day?
The idea of Enthusiasts’ Day is to offer genuine aircraft enthusiasts the opportunity to visit the show on a trade day when the show is otherwise not open to the public. Enthusiasts’ Day is Friday 18 July 2008 and will feature an extended flying display. The Enthusiast Day package includes entry, grandstand seating, parking and a souvenir programme. Tickets are limited and will be sold on a first come first served basis to only those who are eligible.

Do you book a ticket for a specific day?
Tickets are not dated. If you purchased a ticket you could either come on Saturday or Sunday.

Can I visit the airshow in the week?
No. The trade week is strictly open to trade aerospace professionals. However, eligible aviation enthusiasts can purchase tickets for the Enthusiasts’ Day on Friday 18 July (see above).

FLYING DISPLAY

Is the show the same on both days?
The format of the show is the same on both days. The only difference in the flying display is that the Red Arrows open the flying display on Saturday 19 July and appear towards the end of the display on Sunday 20 July.

When are the aircraft in the flying display confirmed?
A provisional list will be available and on the website from late spring 2008.

What time does the flying display start and end?
The flying display starts at approximately 12.30hrs and runs for about 4 ½ hours.

Are the Red Arrows there both days?
The Red Arrows will open the display on Saturday 19 July and will appear towards the end of the display at the show on Sunday 20 July. Check show timetable nearer to show opening.

TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION

How do I get to the site?
The easiest way to travel to the show is by train. South West Trains run a service from London Waterloo to Farnborough main station. Other stations nearby are Farnborough North, Aldershot and Northcamp. The organisers run complimentary buses from Farnborough main, Aldershot and Northcamp stations. Is car parking available at the event?
There is ample parking for visitors and parking is free. Some car parks are located at different ends of the aerodrome and may require a short walk to the main exhibition area.

Can I bring my car?
Yes. Parking is free but due to the high number of visitors it is always best to travel by train to avoid traffic congestion.

Do I have to pay for parking?
Parking is free.

Coach parking – do coaches have to pay to park?
Coach Parking is free.

Can I cycle to the airshow?
Yes. Bicycle stands are available. The organizers would ask that visitors do not cycle around the showground due to high numbers of pedestrians.

Will there be signposts and directions on site?
The showground is very well signposted both inside and out. A map of the showground and its facilities will be available from the show organisers office or from certain points within the main exhibition area.

Disabled Accessibility

The show is mostly ground level access and any steps or first floor public areas can be accessed by a lift or stair platform lift, however scooters are available to assist with the terrain of the airfield.

Airshow organisers will give one complimentary ticket to carers or companions accompanying registered disabled visitors.  To register for this offer please contact the organisers’ office on +44 (0)1252 532800.  You will need to supply us with your public show ticket booking reference number and a disability registration number.  We will then mail one complimentary Carer ticket to you, free of charge.

FOOD

What type of food can I buy on site?
A variety of food outlets on site will cater for all tastebuds. A restaurant located in the main exhibition area offers hot and cold buffet options. In addition to this a number of coffee shops are located in the halls, outdoor food courts offering fast food, vegetarian and international cuisines.

Can I bring a picnic?
Yes

ANIMALS
Can I bring my dog to the airshow?
No. Because of the noise and time of year, we also kindly request that visitors do not bring their dogs and leave them in cars parked in the car park. Guide dogs and assistance dogs are permitted.

BABY CHANGING FACILITIES
Are there baby changing facilities?
Yes. A number of changing facilities are available around the site. The location map will indicate where these areas are.

SMOKING
Can I smoke at the airshow?
Smoking is not permitted in any of the halls or chalets or restaurants.

MEDICAL FACILITIES

Is there a pharmacy on site?
No but there is a medical centre and a shop that sells paracetamol and simple first aid items.

What do I do if I hurt myself?
Medical Services throughout the site are provided by the Event Medicine Company. In event of injury or illness locate the Medical Centre or contact any of the Organisers or Security Staff who will arrange assistance.

MERCHANDISE

When will the 2008 DVD be available for purchase?
The Airshow DVD will be available to purchase from September 2008.

Is there event merchandise on site?
Yes. Event programmes and DVD will also be available to buy online at www.farnborough.com after the event.

LOST CHILDREN
What should I do if I become separated from my child?
Any lost children would be taken to the Lost Children Facility which is co-located with the onsite medical centre. If a child is lost, then the adult should report to the medical centre, organizers office or locate any of the show organizers/police at the show. The show control office monitors the show activities via cctv.Tip: Place a name and mobile number on a piece of paper and put in your child’s pocket.

WEATHER CONDITIONS
What happens in the event of extreme weather? Will the show still go ahead?
The flying display will take place if it is raining, however, the organizers retain the right to cancel any part of the flying display due to adverse weather conditions.
